Gippsland, Victoria - Leading Australia’s clean energy upcycling potential

Boson Energy and Xseed Solutions, via their joint venture Boson Australia Services (“BAS”), are pleased to be commencing work with Zerogen on Australia’s first Upcycling Precinct in Gippsland, Victoria. The precinct will manufacture hydrogen and low carbon fuels from over 45,000 tpa of household waste and commercial waste, fully diverting waste from landfill to achieve the highest possible economic and environmental outcomes.

Boson Energy’s proven technology solution is unique among the Waste Cap Licences granted by Recycling Victoria.  Over 75% of the approved waste projects still rely on the burning of waste to generate only continuous grid power struggling to co-exist with solar and wind.  An increasingly outdated technology pathway that leaves 20% ash residue, still requires landfill disposal, and emits carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Our energy-efficient, modular, scalable system is able to operate as a micro-grid, supporting a distributed network of precincts to be developed across the country. Beyond decarbonising road transport, the technology produces the essential ingredients for low carbon fuels like methanol and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
